I am a new co-opted governor. I am also a parent of two Tidemill pupils. This has allowed me to experience the school's ethos over the last five years.
Being new to the governor role, I have only had a glimpse of the Local Governing Body's work, as well as its vision and direction for our school. It is humbling to see both the scope and the level of detail dedicated to each area of focus. There is a lot for me to learn. I hope my background in the software industry can bring practical skills to the table.
As a co-opted governor, I will need to keep the wider community's interests in mind. Having grown up abroad (in Bulgaria), I feel a special connection to the diverse population of Deptford and families raising children with multiple heritages. Looking after children's mental health is one of my priorities.
