11 before 11
Introducing 11 BEFORE 11
11 BEFORE 11 is our promise to all children across the REAch2 family: 11 exceptional experiences that will inspire and challenge our children. Watch this 11 before 11 video to learn more! Everything we do is about helping children develop the character traits that will help them thrive as they graduate from Primary School and move on to the next phase of their education. We want every child to leave us with the ability to engage fully with the challenges of a secondary school life; both the curriculum but also the day-to-day reality of growing up and starting to discover who they are, what they are passionate about and what they are capable of.

Shake it up Shakespeare
All of Shakespeare's plays tell a story in an enlightening and absorbing manner, captivating the reader. Children of all ages can benefit from reading the works of this literary legend whilst inspiring them to gain knowledge about past histories and enhance their imaginations. Gaining confidence with Shakespearian language and concepts at this early age will make future learning much easier. Year 4 were lucky enough to launch the 11 promises here at Tidemill. On Thursday 31st March 2022, they performed Shakespeare’s ‘Twelfth Night’ at the Albany Theatre. Weeks of dedicated rehearsals and committed cast members meant that the performance night went off without hitch!

Flash Mob
For many, performing in front of friends and family can be daunting, delivering the same performance to people you don’t know represents a much greater challenge. Engaging in a flash mob experience, we want all children to step outside of their comfort zone. Year 3 had the amazing experience of joining the Deptford Flash Mob in order to celebrate International Day of Dance 2022. Over the course of a month, the children learned a routine led by local DJ Granny Apple Cheeks and performed the routine in public, in Deptford Market Yard on the 28th April 2022. The children had a fantastic time and it was great to see so many parents and carers showing their support.
“I loved seeing everyone’s parents watching us dance.” Chrissy, Oak.
“I really enjoyed the dancing. It was so much fun. I liked going to the Market Yard because it was somewhere different than school.” Zach, Oak.
“I liked the flash mob because we were all dancing together.” Esther, Spruce.
“I liked performing in front of lots of people because it made me confident.” Izem, Spruce.
