Sports Coach 

35 hours per week (including lunch duties and after school clubs)

 (Mon-Fri 8.30am to 4:30pm  (3 nights) & 4:45pm (2 nights) to allow for 2 after school clubs)

Term-time (39 weeks per year, Fixed term contract (January 4th 2021 to July 23rd 2021)

Grade: Scale 6 (SP18-20): £29,544 to £30,618 pro-rata for term-time working @ 85.32%

Actual salary: £25,206 to £26,123 per annum

Tidemill pupils are passionate about sport and we are proud that we have achieved the Platinum level award for the School Games Mark. To add to our staff team, we are looking to appoint an exceptional and dedicated sports coach who is passionate about encouraging children to have an active, healthy lifestyle and making PE fun for all learners. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, assessing and monitoring a co-ordinated programme of high quality, professional physical education lessons and coaching activities, which are progressive and reflective of the needs of pupils in the EYFS to KS2.  Additionally, they will, work alongside our PE teacher to     co-ordinate intra and inter school sporting festivals and competitions, as well as making sure children have active, fun break-times. 

The successful applicant must have a specialist coaching qualification relevant to Primary Phase, a full working knowledge of national curriculum and other relevant learning programmes/strategies in relation to PE, and experience of working with children aged 3 - 11.
