Tidemill is the lead school for Initial Teacher Training in REAch2 and has many great opportunities for staff. We are passionate about professional development and believe this is the key to providing the best possible education for pupils and job satisfaction for staff. We are committed to deepening teaching knowledge and skill sets and our staff are genuinely open to sharing best practice and developing together. We are proud of our home-grown talent and many of our teaching assistants have successfully trained as teachers through the Graduate Teacher, Teach First and School Direct programmes and have since gone on to become successful teachers, Assistant or Deputy Heads and Headteachers. Our staff attend and lead a range of programmes including those for early career teachers or experienced teachers and school leaders as well as providing  school-to-school support.

Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo)- Fixed Term

We are looking for a motivated and inspiring SENCo to be part of the Senior Leadership Team while our SENCo is on maternity leave (role expected to be until December 16th, 2022). The role will include responsibility for the strategic direction and day-to-day operation of provision for pupils with SEN, including in our sixteen place Speech and Language Resource Base and providing professional guidance in order to secure high quality teaching and the effective use of resources to bring about improved standards of achievement for all pupils. If you have a passion for motivating and nurturing young learners with SEN and have expertise in the field, we would love to hear from you.

Finance and Personnel Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and talented Finance & Personnel Officer to join our Administration Team.  This role would be suited to someone who is proactive and keen to work as part of a strong team.  Experience in an academy is an advantage but not essential.


Key Dates

Visits to the school are strongly encouraged so you can meet the staff and see our fantastic facilities. Visit times have been scheduled for Thursday 14th October 2021 @ 8:30am or 5:00pm (30 minutes duration).
