School Day

Our school gates open at 8:45am and the bell is rung at 9am to signal the start of the school day. Children up to Year 4 must be supervised by their parent/carer on the playground between 8:45 and 9am.

School finishes at 3:30pm; this includes the last day of term. Children are therefore in school for 32.5 hours a week.

After School Clubs

At Tidemill, we acknowledge the value of enrichment activities and strive to offer a range of After School Clubs which provide for academic, sports, arts and other creative interests. We currently offer over 30 clubs and academic tuition sessions a week with activities such as dance, art, football, drama, cooking, reading and languages. Each term, the timetable is reviewed and changes are made in response to demand, pupil and parent/carer feedback. The clubs cater for all children from Reception to year six and are run by our skilled and enthusiastic staff, sports coaches and outside tutors. Please note that After School Clubs start for Reception pupils from the spring term. Please ask at the office for this terms offer.

Breakfast Club

Early Bird Breakfast Club runs from 7:30am for children from Reception to Year 6. There is a daily charge of £3.00 per child payable in advance. To register for a place, contact the office.

Alternatively, we have a second breakfast club which is currently free for children and opens at 8:15am. It is only available to pupils from year one to year 6.  Children wishing to come in for breakfast can register at reception and then make their way up to the dining hall. Breakfast includes food such as cereal, toast, yoghurt and fruit. We stop serving breakfast at 8:35pm and there will then be time for an activity such as “wake & shake” to get the children alert and ready for their day at school. The children are taken to the playground at 8:45am.

Extended School

Giggle Kidz Childcare offer a fun, exciting and secure place for your children to go after school, we run from 3.30pm - 6.15pm and are based inside Tidemill Treehouse.
We are a nurturing and inclusive club, we spend lots of time getting to know your children to ensure they have lots of fun as well as boosting their confidence and self-esteem, developing their social skills, motivating them to be active as well as having a quiet space to be calm and relaxed.
What do we do during Giggle Kidz?
* We have a large variety of board games, cars, dolls, art and craft, lego, musical toys and more!
*We run activities and fun games indoors and outdoors as well as activities like cooking with the children, making bracelets, seasonal events and more!
*We are also happy to sit with your children and do their reading and homework with them.
* We provide a meal for every child served between 4.30-5pm
Giggle Kidz are a dedicated trained team of professionals, OFSTED registered with DBS certificates and a plethora of experience working with children of all ages.
