As Headteacher, I am on the Local Governing Body and attend all meetings. Governors play an important role in the school, exercising their powers and responsibilities in partnership with the staff. Although they are not involved in the day-to-day running of the school, they play a large role in planning for the school's future at a strategic level. Governors act as a critical friend to the school, offering support and advice and ensuring the school improvement agenda heads in the right direction.  

Tidemill has a strong and active team of governors who bring a range of skills and expertise that is valuable in making Tidemill such a great place to educate children. Many of them are available in the playground on a regular basis and are very ‘hands on’ in their contribution to the school.
