I am a Co-opted Governor and Link Governor for Maths, PE & Sports Premium and Finance. I believe that education is the key to personal freedom and that everyone should be given the best possible opportunities to pursue it. Despite growing up in a challenging environment, there were a few teachers at school that really believed in me and, together with my family, motivated me to work hard through to university. I would therefore like to give back as much as I can, even if it is just one pupil that benefits.

For this reason, I became a governor at Tidemill Academy. I believe I can make a valuable contribution as a school governor thanks to the skills I have developed in my professional career as an investment banker and also from my experience of learning in a state school. I am also passionate about mentoring and currently mentor young people both at my current workplace and as part of other mentoring organisations such as Career Ready and SEO London.
