School Day

Our school gates open at 8:45am and the bell is rung at 9am to signal the start of the school day. Children up to Year 4 must be supervised by their parent/carer on the playground between 8:45 and 9am.

School finishes at 3:30pm; this includes the last day of term. Children are therefore in school for 32.5 hours a week.

After School Clubs

At Tidemill, we acknowledge the value of enrichment activities and strive to offer a range of After School Clubs which provide for academic, sports, arts and other creative interests. We currently offer over 30 clubs and academic tuition sessions a week with activities such as dance, art, football, drama, cooking, reading and languages. Each term, the timetable is reviewed and changes are made in response to demand, pupil and parent/carer feedback. The clubs cater for all children from Reception to Year 6 and are run by our skilled and enthusiastic staff, sports coaches and outside tutors. Breakfast Club

Early Bird Breakfast Club runs from 7:30am for children from Reception to Year 6. There is a daily charge of £3.00 per child payable in advance. To register for a place click here.

Alternatively, we have a second breakfast club which is currently free for children and opens at 8:15am. It is only available to pupils from year one to year 6.  Children wishing to come in for breakfast can register at reception and then make their way up to the dining hall via the playground. Breakfast includes food such as cereal, toast, yoghurt and fruit. We stop serving breakfast at 8:35am and there will then be time for an activity such as “wake & shake” to get the children alert and ready for their day at school. The children are taken to the playground at 8:45am.

 

Extended School

Tidemill host an after school club on site called The Treehouse After School Club.

Hours are from 3:30-6:00pm.

Payment is made at time of booking and a late pick up fee is charged.

Available sessions are:

3:30pm - 6:00pm

4:30pm - 6:00pm

3:30pm-4:30pm (Reception children only)

Bookings must be made by 1:00pm on the day. If you miss this slot, you can call the office to book your child in.

A light meal is offered each day and children can enjoy a range of activities, including toys, games and outdoor play.
